Vessels
Using the ancient technique of raising, Freya patiently hammers a single sheet of metal over a steel stake, gradually coaxing it into a sculptural vessel. The slow, repetitive process mirrors the rhythms of erosion that inspire her work, creating forms that speak of endurance and transformation while celebrating the beauty found through time.
Jewellery
Freya's jewellery carries the same language of erosion and transformation into pieces made to be worn. Inspired by the textures and rhythms of changing landscapes, each work is carefully formed to express the resilience and delicacy of metal. Designed as intimate sculptures for the body, they invite a lasting connection between material and wearer as they gather their own stories over time.

Freya is a 3D Design & Craft graduate from the University of Brighton and a Fellow of Bishopsland Educational Trust. She is drawn to the powerful rhythms of the natural world, where erosion shapes the land over time. Her work grows from these slow changes, translating marks of weathering into metal forms that feel organic and alive. By pushing the material to its limits, she reveals both strength and fragility, celebrating the beauty that emerges through use and endurance.
Freya is currently on the Springboard Emerging Designers residency at the Hugo Burge Foundation in the Scottish Borders. Here she plans to produce larger scale work and feature in exhibitions and shows.
